River View Campground & Canoe
Our project started over a decade ago, the “Canoe Tracker” was to be a way to organize our river trip rental operation and move away from clipboards, pencils, and paper. We needed some help organizing our reservations for camping and river trips for over 1500 guests each weekend. We searched for eXisting solutions and found nothing that worked well for our circumstances, so we set off to build our own. We worked together to develop a Filemaker Pro solution that managed our rental inventory, scheduling, and logistics for about 800 guests each weekend. The Canoe Tracker streamlined our river trip operations so well that we knew we needed eXcelisys to help with something similar for our campground operation. This began our efforts with our “Campground Tracker”. eXcelisys eXpanded the capabilities of our river trip management solution to include campground reservations, payments, invoicing, and customer information records. We wanted a solution to work similarly to our previous paper-based workflow and eXcelisys learned our operation and asked the right questions in order to get the new digital workflow perfect. As our operation became more efficient our business began to grow and we’ve now almost doubled our rental business on weekends from when we first started with eXcelisys. These days the Campground Tracker handles the details for about 1500 guest river trips and over 2000 people who are camping each weekend at our park. Our current project is automating our email responses to customers and having our “Campground Tracker” generate the right reply automatically pulling in the reservation details and composing beautiful email messages with html formatting that looks good across every type of device. The team at eXcelisys continues to improve our workflow build by build as they release each update to our solution. We look forward to continuing our relationship as we begin to embrace emerging technologies that will help our organization grow even more!
